The Story
The Sun and Moon Lariat Necklace has long been a signature piece in the Famke range - and last year we evolved the design by making it available on our bestselling paperclip chain which allows for shortening and lengthening the necklace and NEW bracelet with ease.
You asked, we listened!
We have made initial engraving available on the necklace as well if you want to add someone’s close’s initial on the disc like the bracelet. It also makes for an extra special gifting option.

The shorter option is often preferred for everyday wear and the longer length option seems to be the go-to for more dressy occasions like a wine tasting, date night or a wedding.

LEAD TIME
All our orders are handmade in our workshop so please allow for a 10-14 business day manufacturing lead time, this does not include shipping time.

Gold vermeil is a method of plating that’s made to last.
The concentration of the solution is much higher than regular flash plating: meaning it deposits a thicker layer of gold coating onto the piece of jewellery.
This ensures a longer lifespan of up to about a year in comparison to regular flash plating, which can sometimes fade or tarnish within couple of weeks or months.

CARE
- In the case of your jewellery tarnishing or becoming dirty, simply clean it with a soft cloth and a metal cleaning agent such as Silvo / Brasso, a generic jewellery cleaner, or simply hot water, a sponge and soap. If you are in Cape Town, please feel free to drop it off at our shop for cleaning.
- To avoid necklaces and chains developing a dull appearance, try keeping them away from body lotions and perfumes.
- To increase the longevity of your gold-plated piece, it should be removed when exercising, swimming, and showering. If and when plating does start to fade, give us a call or pop us a mail and we will replate.
